CK Power is looking for a Strategic Sourcing Agent at our St. Louis, MO location. The Strategic Sourcing Agent is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies to support the company’s purchasing objectives. This role focuses on identifying, evaluating, and managing suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and reliability of goods and services. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive cost savings, mitigate supply chain risks, and create long-term value through effective supplier partnerships.

This position requires domestic travel approximately 25% of the time.

What You’ll Do:

Supplier Management & Negotiation:

• Identify, qualify, and select suppliers based on capability, capacity, quality, service, and cost.
• Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure consistent performance.

Strategic Sourcing & Cost Optimization:

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Analyze spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and sourcing efficiencies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including supplier consolidation and standardization of materials/services.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with engineering, operations, quality, and finance to align sourcing strategies with business needs.
• Support new product development by sourcing materials and suppliers to meet project timelines.
• Collaborate with legal on supplier contracts, agreements, and compliance requirements.

Risk Management & Compliance

• Monitor supplier performance, quality, and delivery metrics; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Mitigate risks in the supply chain by diversifying suppliers and monitoring market trends.
• ·Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical sourcing standards.

Market & Industry Analysis

• Conduct market research to stay current with industry trends, pricing shifts, and emerging suppliers.
• Benchmark suppliers and evaluate alternatives to maintain competitive advantage.

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field required.
• 3–5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Demonstrated strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Strong degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

What Helps:

• Knowledge of global sourcing, logistics, and trade compliance is a plus.
