Role and Responsibilities

The Strategic Sourcing Consultant is responsible for leading or supporting the sourcing effort for products and services for clients and managing vendor relationships. The Strategic Sourcing Consultant works to identify and evaluate potential vendors for the client. They must be able to help the client identify requirements, specifications, and parameters for the categories they are sourcing. Following standard procurement methodologies, the Strategic Sourcing Consultant focuses on finding vendors who can provide the client with a service and/or good at the lowest possible cost of ownership. They must be able to develop, facilitate, and analyze the results of RFI’s, RFQ’s and RFP’s. The Strategic Sourcing Consultant is responsible for analyzing spend data, drawing conclusions and determining an action plan based on their analysis. Additionally, they will interface directly with vendors and clients, as needed.

Qualifications and Education Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (or equivalent experience)
• Can work within normal business hours

• 5 years+ of sourcing experience
• Can work 15 to 30 hours a week
• MS Office proficiency (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
• Data analytics
• Problem solving

• Building and facilitating RFx’s
