Role Overview
As a Consultant in Risk & Compliance, you will support the design and delivery of risk and resilience engagements across industries-particularly financial services. With 5-7 years of experience, you will contribute to the development of frameworks, assessments, and technology-enabled solutions in areas such as operational risk, compliance transformation, and operational resilience. You will also gain exposure to advanced technologies, including GRC platforms, risk analytics, and AI-enabled use cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery & Execution
- Conduct assessments and design frameworks related to operational risk (e.g., RCSA, risk appetite, incident management), compliance monitoring, and resilience (e.g., critical business services, scenario testing).
- Support client workshops, interviews, and analysis of existing risk and compliance processes.
- Contribute to the development of deliverables such as policies, process maps, risk registers, and test scenarios.
- Risk Technology & Data Enablement
- Work with teams implementing GRC platforms (e.g., RSA Archer, ServiceNow, MetricStream), ensuring alignment between risk frameworks and technical configurations.
- Use analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to support the development of dashboards, reporting packs, and risk indicators.
- Participate in requirements gathering, testing, and configuration of risk tools.
- Innovation & AI Exposure
- Assist in identifying opportunities for AI or automation in risk and compliance use cases (e.g., control monitoring, fraud detection, regulatory analysis).
- Collaborate with data science or tech teams to understand the impact of AI on risk management and governance.
- Contribute to the development of responsible AI frameworks and model risk control environments.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Support client communications by preparing presentation materials, meeting minutes, and issue logs.
- Help manage stakeholder expectations and coordinate across business, compliance, risk, and IT teams.
- Communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats.
- Team Collaboration & Development
- Collaborate closely with senior consultants and managers, contributing to team success and project delivery.
- Engage in internal initiatives such as knowledge development, innovation forums, and methodology enhancement.
- Mentor junior analysts where appropriate and contribute to a positive, inclusive team environment.
Qualifications And Experience
- Experience: 5-7 years in risk management or compliance consulting roles, ideally with exposure to regulated sectors such as banking.
- Education: Degree in Management, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline; certifications (e.g., CRMA, CAMS, FRM) are a plus.
- Skills:
- Working knowledge of operational risk and compliance concepts
- Familiarity with resilience frameworks or business continuity planning
- Experience with risk tools (e.g., GRC, dashboards, data analysis)
- Interest in digital risk transformation and AI/automation use cases
- Strong attention to detail and structured problem-solving approach
- Arabic language is a plus
