Strategy & Planning Specialist

Maximus Gulf is seeking a Planning & Strategy Specialist to support the development, execution, and tracking of our strategic agenda across the region. This role is ideal for a commercially minded, delivery-focused professional who thrives at the intersection of strategy, performance management, and execution .

You will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to translate strategy into action, ensure alignment across the organisation, and provide clear, executive-level visibility on progress, risks, and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy Development & Execution

• Support the Strategy & Planning Director in shaping and executing strategic initiatives across the business
• Facilitate the development and cascade of the Balanced Scorecard , ensuring alignment between corporate strategy and departmental objectives
• Partner with departments to translate strategic priorities into actionable plans and track delivery

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Maintain and enhance strategic dashboards and Balanced Scorecard reporting, ideally using Power BI
• Monitor performance metrics, identify gaps, and support action planning to course-correct where required
• Consolidate insights into monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc executive reports
• Drive timely updates, data accuracy, and alignment with reporting cycles

Project & Initiative Management

• Lead or support key strategic initiatives from planning through execution
• Track milestones, risks, and dependencies across priority initiatives
• Collaborate with Project Management, Business Planning, and Client Reporting teams to ensure cohesive delivery

Stakeholder Engagement & Executive Communication

• Prepare executive-ready presentations summarising progress, insights, and recommendations
• Present updates to senior leadership and support strategic discussions and workshops
• Act as a strategic liaison across departments, ensuring alignment and consistency

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to strengthen planning, reporting, and execution frameworks
• Stay current with best practices in strategy execution, performance management, and digital reporting

What We’re Looking For:

Experience

• 5+ years’ experience in strategic planning, performance management, or project management
• Hands-on experience developing and managing Balanced Scorecards and strategy dashboards
• Strong exposure to Power BI and executive-level reporting
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Strategy, Economics, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification is an advantage

• Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders
• Structured thinker with strong planning, coordination, and follow-through
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
• Fluent in English & Arabic Language
