Street Outreach Case Manager

VMC is excited to announce that we are expanding our Street Outreach team. Interested applicants must be able and willing to engage unsheltered homeless individuals in their encampments. We are an affirming and inclusive environment that uses a Housing-First and harm reduction clinical approach to help address the needs of the unhoused. VMC's Street Outreach team connects those in encampments to housing case management and other services that allow those living unsheltered to move into affordable housing and improve their health.

Qualified applicants will have a college degree in social work or related field or at least 1 year providing direct service to those experiencing homelessness. Applicants must be able to maintain safety and awareness of self, coworkers, and clients, while engaging clients in the field. Applicants must also be able to quickly identify and respond to/de-escalate potentially dangerous situations. The ability to navigate extreme temperatures and weather as well as move safely over steep/uneven terrain is necessary in this position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $37,500.00 per year
