Stress Engineer – Piping

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct pipe stress analysis using Caesar II, AutoPIPE, and FEA tools to evaluate thermal, seismic, and dynamic loads
  • Assess piping systems for vibration and fatigue, including Flow Induced Vibration (FIV) and Acoustic Induced Vibration (AIV)
  • Evaluate nozzle loads, support configurations, and expansion joint applications
  • Generate and maintain stress-critical line lists and update process line lists for hydrotest, PWHT, and NDE requirements
  • Collaborate with piping, mechanical, and civil/structural teams to resolve complex design challenges
  • Participate in HAZOPs, model reviews, and client meetings to provide technical guidance
  • Support construction and commissioning teams with site queries and implementation workpacks

Work Experience

B.Tech. Mechanical 10-15 Years

The Stress Engineer – Piping is responsible for performing advanced pipe stress analysis and ensuring the structural integrity of piping systems across upstream and downstream oil and gas facilities. This role supports FEED, detailed design, and construction phases, ensuring compliance with project specifications and international codes.
