STRTP Residential Facility Manager

Program Type: Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP).

Kuumba House is seeking a dedicated and experienced Facility Manager to join our leadership team at our Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP). Our program provides a safe, structured, and supportive environment for youth while helping them develop the life skills needed for long term success. This position plays a key role in maintaining a well organized facility, supporting staff, and ensuring the program operates in compliance with all STRTP and Title 22 standards. We are looking for someone who is passionate about youth services, experienced in residential care environments, and capable of leading a team with professionalism and compassion.

Responsibilities

● Oversee day to day operations of the STRTP facility

● Supervise and support direct care staff and overnight staff

● Ensure proper documentation including progress notes, incident reports, and client documentation

● Maintain compliance with STRTP, Title 22, and licensing regulations

● Support staff scheduling and coverage for shifts including overnight coverage when needed

● Conduct facility walkthroughs to ensure safety and program standards are maintained

● Communicate effectively with leadership, clinical staff, and county partners

● Support youth in maintaining a structured and therapeutic living environment

Preferred Qualifications

● Bachelor degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or related field

● Minimum 2 years Experience working in the STRTP or residential treatment industry

● Experience writing progress notes and maintaining client documentation

● Leadership or supervisory experience in a residential program

● Strong organizational and communication skills

● Ability to work evenings and overnight shifts and maintain a flexible schedule

Additional Requirements

● Valid California Driver License, clean DMV background, updated car insurance

● Ability to pass background clearance, CPR certified, Pro act trained, and other required screenings

● Ability to work in a fast paced residential treatment environment

● Passion for working with youth and supporting positive outcomes

Additional information for Facilities Manager

Duties:

- Oversee the maintenance and operation of all facilities within the organization
- Develop and implement facility management policies and procedures
- Manage and coordinate facility repairs, renovations, and construction projects
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly
- Manage budgets and expenses related to facility maintenance and operations
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for facility-related services
- Develop and implement energy conservation initiatives
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient use of facilities
- Provide leadership and guidance to the facilities team

Skills:

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Knowledge of facility management principles and best practices
- Experience in project management, including planning, budgeting, and execution
- Familiarity with high voltage and low voltage systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
