Overview:
Our Saint Paul, Minnesota (MN) office is looking for a Structural Bridge Designer with 15+ years of experience to join our Structures Bridge team!
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare full design plans for bridge rehabilitations, bridge replacements, and new bridges
  • Coordinating work activities to maintain schedules and budgets, and achieve quality
  • Exercising sound independent judgment and demonstrating knowledge and application of engineering principals
  • Establish CAD workflow, processes, best practices, and procedures for the transportation team in Indianapolis
  • Lead in the recruitment, development, and training of a growing CAD Designer transportation team in Indianapolis
  • Support and help train civil analysts to be able to perform basic CAD skills, plan development, and design detailing best practices
  • Partner with and provide feedback to project managers and engineers to establish best practices to translate design to plan production
  • Be the go-to technical resource on the transportation team for CAD troubleshooting, questions, and shortcuts
Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of relevant design experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent (associates degree preferred)
  • Ability to set up and manage printing/plotting settings
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency with civil design programs such as Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads, etc.
  • Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Willingness to mentor and teach others
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter
Salary Range: $100,000 - $145,000
