Structural Design Engineer

• Produce structural design drawings, calculations and specifications (buildings, foundations, load-bearing structures) in accordance with UAE codes and local authority requirements.
• Coordinate with architectural, MEP and civil disciplines to ensure structural design integration and compliance.
• Prepare and submit documentation for authority approvals (Sharjah Municipality, Abu Dhabi municipal authorities, etc).
• Liaise with site teams for design clarifications, revisions and as-built updates.
• Review and check shop drawings, structural modelling (e.g., ETABS, STAAD, SAFE) and ensure adherence to relevant standards.
• Ensure all designs comply with local regulations in both Sharjah and Abu Dhabi — including occupational terms and professional competence criteria. Jawdah+2Jawdah+2
• Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers where required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 4 years of relevant structural design experience in the UAE (design & documentation).
• Strong familiarity with UAE design codes, local authority submission processes (Sharjah Municipality, Abu Dhabi regulations).
• Proficiency in structural design and analysis tools (e.g., ETABS, STAAD, SAFE, AutoCAD, Revit).
• Excellent coordination and communication skills (English required; Arabic knowledge is a plus).
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• UAE Driving License preferred (but not essential).
