Structural Design Engineer

Position: Structural Design Engineer – Steel Structures

Location: Abu Dhabi- United Arab Emirates (Applicants must be currently in the UAE)

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Structural Design Engineer – Steel Structures to join our Design team. This role requires strong proficiency in industry-standard software, a deep understanding of international and local engineering codes, and the ability to deliver high-quality structural solutions within set timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software , such as STAAD, SAFE, ETABS, SAP, ANSYS, Prokon, IdeaStatica , etc.
• Experience in design of RCC members & foundations including pile foundations, raft foundations & isolated footings.
• Expertise in mechanical and structural design analysis , including stress, fatigue, and failure analysis , FEA, mechanical/welded connections design, and footing design.
• Ability to prepare structural reports and detailed drawings for submission and approvals.
• Experience in material selection and design optimization while considering cost and time constraints.
• Familiarity with international and local engineering standards , including AISC, AASHTO, ASCE, ASTM, ACI, BS 5395, BS 5950, BS 6399, IBC , and others.
• Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) standards .

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering .
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in engineering, design, and development of steel structures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
• Must be available in the UAE ; immediate joiners will be given preference.
