Structural Designer

Job Responsibilities – Structural Steel Designer

• Prepare detailed designs, drawings, and models for structural steel components, assemblies, and connections using CAD software (AutoCAD, Tekla, SolidWorks, or similar).
• Interpret architectural and engineering drawings to develop accurate structural steel shop drawings and fabrication drawings.
• Perform structural analysis and design calculations for beams, columns, trusses, and other steel members as per project requirements and applicable codes (AISC, BS, Eurocode, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and industry regulations in all designs.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, project managers, and fabrication teams to clarify requirements and resolve design issues.
• Prepare material lists, cutting lists, and BOQs (Bills of Quantities) for procurement and fabrication.
• Review and check shop drawings, erection drawings, and fabrication details for accuracy and constructability.
• Provide technical support during fabrication and installation stages to resolve design-related queries.
• Participate in design review meetings and propose improvements for cost efficiency and structural integrity.
• Maintain proper documentation and records of all drawings, revisions, and approvals.
• Stay updated with latest materials, fabrication techniques, and software tools related to structural steel design.

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
