Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed structural drawings including general arrangements, sections, elevations, and reinforcement details for concrete and steel structures.
- Interpret structural engineering calculations, sketches, and design specifications to create precise 2D and 3D drawings.
- Create and modify drawings using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Tekla Structures.
- Collaborate with structural engineers, architects, and other disciplines to ensure accurate coordination of design information.
- Assist in developing shop drawings, bar bending schedules (BBS), and construction detailing.
- Maintain up-to-date drawing documentation and ensure all work complies with applicable building codes, regulations, and standards.
- Identify and resolve potential design and coordination issues during the drafting process.
- Participate in BIM coordination processes, clash detection, and model reviews where applicable.
Minimum Requirement
- Diploma or bachelor's in civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or related technical field.
- Certification in AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, or BIM.
- Experience in high-rise, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of cloud-based collaboration tools (e.g., BIM 360, ACC, Procore).
- Proven experience (2–5 years) as a Structural Draftsman in building or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in drafting software such as AutoCAD, and Revit (BIM), with added advantage for experience in Tekla Structures, Navisworks, or Bentley MicroStation.
- Solid understanding of structural systems (steel, concrete, timber) and detailing standards.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing construction-ready drawings.
