Key Responsibilities
- Drafting: Develop detailed structural drawings, including layouts, sections, and elevations, based on engineer specifications.
- Technical Compliance: Ensure all structural drawings adhere to local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Modeling: Create 3D models of structures for visualization and coordination.
- Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
- Revisions: Review, modify, and update drawings to incorporate design changes or site adjustments.
- Documentation: Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
- Material Take-offs: Assist in creating material lists and bar bending schedules (BBS) for construction. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7]
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of structural engineering principles and construction methods.
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy in drafting and checking dimensions.
- Communication: Ability to work well in a team environment.
