Structural Designer – Tower Crane

We are seeking a qualified Structural Designer specializing in Tower Cranes and Lifting Equipment to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and preparation of structural calculations, drawings, and technical documentation related to tower crane foundations, crane ties, climbing systems, lifting beams, derrick cranes, and temporary steel structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Design tower crane foundations, base frames, and anchoring systems.
• Prepare structural calculations and design reports for tower crane installations.
• Design tower crane tie-ins, bracing systems, and climbing arrangements.
• Prepare fabrication and shop drawings for steel structures and lifting equipment.
• Design lifting beams, spreader beams, lifting frames, and temporary works.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and clients regarding design requirements.
• Review crane load data and ensure designs comply with manufacturer specifications.
• Conduct structural analysis using engineering software.
• Ensure compliance with applicable international standards and local regulations.
• Support site operations with technical solutions and design modifications when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in structural design related to tower cranes, heavy lifting, or steel structures.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and structural analysis software (STAAD Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, Tekla, or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of crane loads, temporary works, and steel structure design.
• Experience with tower crane foundation design, tie calculations, and lifting studies.
• Ability to prepare detailed engineering reports and technical submissions.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Experience

• Tower crane installation and dismantling projects.
• Derrick crane operations and heavy lifting engineering.
• Steel fabrication and erection projects.
• Familiarity with Liebherr, Potain, Zoomlion, Comansa, or other tower crane systems.

Pay: From AED6,000.00 per month
