Job Summary:
As a Structural Civil Engineer , you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of various structures to ensure they are safe, durable, and compliant with UAE regulations and international standards. You will work closely with architects, contractors, and other engineers to deliver high-quality projects that meet client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of projects, including high-rise buildings, bridges, towers, and other infrastructure in the UAE.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, or similar.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with design specifications, UAE building codes, and safety standards.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to develop integrated design solutions.
- Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and construction documents.
- Provide technical support during construction, including resolving design issues and responding to RFIs (Requests for Information).
- Perform load calculations, stress analysis, and seismic assessments to ensure structural integrity in the UAE’s unique environmental conditions.
- Prepare and present project reports, proposals, and cost estimates to clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, such as Dubai Municipality, Sharjah Municipality, and Civil Defense requirements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations to ensure best practices are applied in all projects.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and drafters, providing technical expertise and support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree in Structural Engineering is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on high-rise buildings, infrastructure, or industrial projects in the UAE.
- Sharjah Municipality approved (unlimited) engineer
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD).
- Experience with seismic design and wind load analysis specific to the UAE’s environmental conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
