Structural Draughtsman (2 Positions)

Location: New Industrial Area, Qatar

Requirement: Local candidates only

Job Type: Contractual

Job Description:

• Prepare detailed structural drawings, including plans, sections, elevations, reinforcement details, and construction layouts using AutoCAD/Revit or related software.
• Review and interpret structural design calculations, consultant drawings, and project specifications.
• Coordinate structural drawings with architectural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines to ensure alignment and avoid conflicts.
• Assist engineers by preparing drawings for structural elements such as beams, columns, slabs, foundations, retaining walls, and steel structures.
• Update drawings based on site instructions, design changes, and consultant comments.
• Ensure all drawings comply with local building codes, Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), and relevant project standards.
• Maintain drawing logs, revision records, and documentation in accordance with company standards.
• Provide support to the estimation team by preparing preliminary structural layouts and quantity take-offs when required.
• Attend site visits when necessary to verify structural elements and prepare accurate as-built drawings.
• Contribute to quality assurance by ensuring accuracy, clarity, and completeness of all :structural drawings.

Candidate Requirements:

• Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Structural Draughtsman (Qatar/GCC experience preferred).
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit Structures, and MS Office.
• Solid understanding of structural design concepts, reinforcement detailing, and construction practices.
• Ability to interpret structural calculations, design notes, and engineering sketches.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Must be locally available in Qatar with a valid QID and transferable NOC (for immediate joining).
