Structural Engineer

A+F Engineers, an award winning, well-established structural engineering firm in Washington DC is looking for motivated structural engineers with a strong academic background in structural engineering.

We design a variety of complex structures including state-of-the-art stadiums, airports, higher education facilities, laboratories, federal and state facilities and more. We work with renowned architects to design some of the most cutting-edge and sustainable structures that will define the next generation of buildings.

A+F Engineers are interested in candidates looking to join a team of designers that will create innovative solutions and are willing to expand their knowledge in the structural engineering field.

Responsibilities and Salary will reflect applicants’ qualifications and may include:

• Leading structural design of complex and innovative projects
• Preparing project calculations for steel, concrete, and wood structures
• Creating construction drawings and specifications
• Working closely with contractors
• Reviewing shop drawings and responding to RFIs
• Performing site visits and writing reports
• Working with BIM delivery methodology and collaboration in Revit

Qualifications:

• 5-10 years of experience (preferred)
• BS in Civil / Structural Engineering required
• MS in Civil / Structural Engineering (preferred)
