- Design & Analysis: Design load-bearing frameworks (concrete, steel) and analyze structural stability using CAD/simulation software.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure designs meet all local safety laws, building codes, and standards.
- Construction Oversight: Conduct on-site inspections to verify that construction work adheres to the structural design and safety standards.
- Coordination: Collaborate with architects and MEP teams on structural interfaces and resolve RFIs (Requests for Information).
- Review & Certification: Review contractor shop drawings and approve material submittals to certify project completion. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
- License: Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in structural software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETABS) and deep knowledge of building codes.
