Structural Engineer - Coordinator

Role Summary

The Structural Design Coordinator will act as the technical and coordination link between the Egypt Design Office and UAE-based projects, ensuring that all structural designs comply with UAE codes, authority requirements, and project standards. The role involves reviewing, coordinating, and aligning structural outputs with project timelines, consultants, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Design Coordination

• Coordinate structural design activities between the Egypt office and UAE project teams.
• Review structural drawings, calculations, and models for compliance with UAE codes and standards (e.g., Dubai Municipality, Abu Dhabi regulations).
• Ensure alignment between concept, schematic, and detailed design stages.
• Provide technical guidance to the Egypt-based structural team regarding UAE-specific requirements.

UAE Authority & Code Compliance

• Ensure designs comply with UAE regulations, international standards, and local authority requirements.
• Coordinate responses to authority comments and consultant RFIs.
• Support submissions to local authorities where required.

Project Coordination

• Act as the main technical point of contact between Egypt designers and UAE project managers.
• Monitor deliverables, timelines, and quality of structural outputs.
• Coordinate with Architecture, MEP, and QS teams to avoid clashes and discrepancies.

Quality Control

• Conduct design reviews and technical checks before client or authority submissions.
• Ensure consistency, accuracy, and constructability of designs.
• Maintain document control and version alignment between offices.

Stakeholder Communication

• Participate in coordination meetings with UAE clients, consultants, and contractors when required.
• Communicate feedback clearly and efficiently to the Egypt design team.
• Support value engineering and technical optimization aligned with UAE market practices.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in civil / Structural Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in structural design and coordination.
• Proven experience working on UAE projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE authority standards and approvals process.
• Experience coordinating with offshore design teams
• Proficiency in structural software and BIM coordination tools.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to AED15,000.00 per month
