Read and interpret blueprints and project plans to understand and execute structural fitting requirements effectively.

Measure and mark layout lines on structural components, providing accurate fitting as per specifications.

Assemble and fit metal parts and subassemblies to form complete units or subunits using tack welding, bolting, and other methods.

Inspect and test assembled structures to ensure specifications and quality standards are met.

Operate cutting, bending, and straightening machinery and equipment effectively to shape steel in various forms.

Adjust and align fitted sections to form completed structures or component parts according to blueprint specifications.

Collaborate with project managers and other structural fitters to ensure project timelines and quality benchmarks are met.

Record and report project status and progress to supervisory personnel to ensure efficient workflow and delivery on project milestones.

Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to safety and health policies.

Provide solutions and innovative approaches to enhance structural fitting processes and outcomes.

Participate in training and development sessions to stay updated with new fitting techniques and industry standards.

Proven experience as a Structural Fitter or similar role, ideally in an industrial or construction setting.

Demonstrable skill in interpreting and working from complex blueprints and structural designs.

Skilled in various fitting techniques including cutting, welding, and fabricating metals.

Strong knowledge and ability to use tools and equipment required for structural fitting, including heavy machinery.
