Structural Site Engineer (Civil)

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Structural Site Engineer to oversee structural works on building projects in Sharjah. You will act as the key interface between the design consultancy team and site execution, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, quality standards, and Sharjah Municipality regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise site activities for structural works, including foundations, columns, beams, slabs, walls, and reinforcement.
• Review and validate structural drawings, shop drawings, bar-bending schedules (BBS), material submittals, and method statements.
• Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and client representatives to resolve technical issues and RFIs.
• Conduct regular site inspections, ensuring work aligns with design intent and quality standards.
• Monitor progress against construction schedules, identify risks, and propose corrective measures.
• Maintain project documentation: site logs, inspection reports, NCRs, and as-built drawings.
• Support constructability reviews, temporary works (shoring, propping), and structural modifications.
• Promote safety and liaise with HSE teams for structural-specific safety concerns.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience in site supervision of structural works on building projects.
• Expertise in concrete and steel structures, ensuring compliance with Sharjah Municipality standards.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, materials, and detailing.
• Familiarity with software: STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, Revit Structure, and AutoCAD.
• Excellent communication skills (English required, Arabic is a plus).
