Structural Steel Erector

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced and safety-focused Structural Steel Erectors to join our construction team. The Structural Steel Erector is responsible for assembling, installing, and securing steel beams, columns, girders, and other structural components to form the framework of buildings, bridges, and other structures. This role requires physical strength, precision, and strict adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications.
• Unload, sort, and stage structural steel components for installation.
• Connect steel columns, beams, and girders using bolts, rivets, or welding equipment.
• Signal crane operators to position steel members accurately.
• Align and plumb steel frameworks using levels, laser tools, and measuring instruments.
• Install metal decking, stairs, handrails, and other structural components.
• Perform rigging and hoisting activities safely.
• Inspect connections to ensure structural stability and compliance with project requirements.
• Follow all OSHA and company safety policies.
• Work at heights using appropriate fall protection equipment.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent field experience.
• Minimum 2–5 years of structural steel erection experience (preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Strong knowledge of rigging practices and safety procedures.
• Certification in welding (preferred).
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (preferred).
• Ability to operate aerial lifts and forklifts (preferred).

Required Skills & Abilities

• Strong understanding of structural steel assembly techniques.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials (50+ lbs).
• Comfortable working at heights in various weather conditions.
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Working Conditions

• Outdoor construction environments in varying weather conditions.
• Frequent climbing, lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Work at significant heights on structural frameworks.
• May require travel to various job sites.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
