Structural Welder

About the Role:

The Structural Welder plays a critical role in the construction and maintenance of various structures, ensuring that they are safe, durable, and meet industry standards. This position involves interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to determine the specifications for welding projects. The welder will be responsible for performing high-quality welding on various materials, including steel and aluminum, to create strong joints and components. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Certification in welding from an accredited institution.
  • Proven experience as a structural welder, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with advanced welding techniques and technologies.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in welding and construction.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and physical environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and analyze blueprints and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
  • Perform welding tasks using various techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding on structural components.
  • Inspect completed welds for quality and compliance with specifications, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition and safe to use.
  • Collaborate with other construction team members to ensure timely project completion and adherence to safety standards.
