We are seeking a seasoned Structured & Project Finance professional to lead the Structured & Project Finance team within TEB CCIB Group. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership across origination, structuring, credit approval, and execution of long-term financing transactions, while acting as a senior point of contact for key stakeholders locally and within the BNP Paribas network.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will:
Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Structured & Project Finance team, overseeing deal origination, structuring, negotiation, and execution of complex financing transactions
Work closely with senior coverage and sales teams to originate new business opportunities, drive client relationships, and support revenue growth
Lead and oversee financial analysis, cash flow modelling, and transaction structuring to ensure robust, bankable and risk-appropriate solutions
Assume overall responsibility for the credit process, including supervision and validation of credit applications, due diligence activities, and presentation of transactions to relevant credit committees at TEB and BNP Paribas
Ensure transactions are structured and executed in line with risk appetite, internal policies, regulatory requirements, and best market practices
Act as the primary coordinator between local teams, global product partners, and external stakeholders throughout the transaction lifecycle
Oversee portfolio monitoring and post-closing matters, ensuring ongoing compliance and risk management
Mentor, develop, and performance-manage team members, building technical capabilities and ensuring succession planning within the department
Contribute to broader business strategy, process improvements, and knowledge sharing across CCIB
Role Scope:
The position entails end-to-end ownership of the structured and project finance transaction lifecycle, from origination and credit approval through execution and ongoing monitoring. As a senior leader, the role also involves shaping the team’s growth, market positioning, and long-term success within a dynamic and expanding platform.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Management, or Accounting; a Master’s degree is a strong advantage
Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in structured finance, project finance, or complex corporate financing, preferably within an international banking environment
Proven leadership experience managing teams and overseeing multiple complex transactions concurrently
Strong expertise in credit analysis, financial modelling, cash flow analysis, and risk assessment for long-term financing structures
Demonstrated experience building, reviewing, and approving complex project finance models, including sensitivity and scenario analysis
Energy, infrastructure, or similar asset-based sector experience is a strong plus
Proven ability to draft, present, and defend credit proposals at senior committee level in English
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with experience coordinating across local and global platforms
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize across a diversified transaction portfolio
CFA Charterholder status is a plus
