Job Summary: The Student Account Services Analyst provides all student withdrawal financial calculations for both institutional charges and institutional refunds in accordance with Institutional policies and Federal aid repayment in accordance with Federal regulations. Ensures that other involved offices enter data into the system correctly and completely to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations. Serves as the primary Receivables customer service representative in responding to questions concerning the financial aspects of student withdrawal.
Additional Department Summary: Provides advanced administration and oversight of complex student financial programs and account functions. Serves as the primary administrator for multiple last-dollar tuition payment programs, ensuring accurate awarding, compliance with regulatory and sponsor requirements, and effective coordination with state agencies and campus partners. Resolves high-risk and non-standard student account issues, ensuring compliance with federal Post‑9/11 VA benefit regulations. Evaluates and approves emergency loan requests. Administers institutional mortgage accounts. The position requires strong independent judgment, financial analysis skills, and the ability to interpret and apply complex policies while maintaining audit-ready records and a high level of customer service.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of financial account analysis and/or management experience; OR master's degree and some financial account analysis and/or management experience.
Skills and Knowledge: Strong independent judgment. Financial analysis skills. Ability to interpret and apply complex policies while maintaining audit-ready records and a high level of customer service. Ability to conduct independent financial analysis and account reconciliation while ensuring accuracy and compliance. Strong knowledge of, and the ability to interpret and apply, complex federal, state, and institutional regulations. Capacity to serve as an institutional liaison with external agencies, balancing regulatory, contractual, and operational requirements.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, higher education administration, public administration, or a closely related field.
