UF Student Assistant
This position is open to all students eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS) and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average.

UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking an entry-level Student Captioning Assistant to assist with transcribing lectures and creating closed captioning files for Academic Technology, a unit within UFIT. This includes arranging closed captioning for course lecture videos to produce accessible course materials in compliance with ADA standards.
UF Information Technology (UFIT) enables teaching, learning, research, and service on campus and across the region with state-of-the-art enterprise IT systems, including SEC and SUS universities, and the opportunity to teach using HiPerGator.
The Student Captioning Assistant will help with transcribing and creating closed captioning for course lectures and other captioning services. They will also help deliver online lecture content for students with closed captioning accommodations and departmental closed captioning needs. Occasionally, they will assist the captioning manager in accepting requests for captioning.
