We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Student Counsellor to support students’ academic, emotional, social, and behavioral development. The ideal candidate will provide guidance and counseling services, promote student wellbeing, and work closely with teachers and parents to create a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions for students
- Support students with emotional, behavioral, social, and academic concerns
- Identify students requiring additional support and refer cases when necessary
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and school leadership
- Assist in developing student wellbeing programs and initiatives
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records
- Support conflict resolution and behavior management strategies
- Conduct workshops and awareness sessions related to mental health and student wellbeing
- Monitor student progress and prepare reports when required
- Ensure safeguarding and child protection policies are followed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Counselling, Education, or related field
- Previous experience in a school or educational environment preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive situations professionally and confidentially
- Knowledge of child development and student wellbeing practices
- Fluency in English required; additional languages are an advantage
