The SIS Student Data Accountability Manager is responsible for the efficient operation, management, and maintenance of the Student Information System (SIS) within the organization. This role ensures data accuracy, compliance with established laws and regulations, and provides technical support for academic advisors, registrars, and other stakeholders. The manager will oversee the scheduling and academic planning processes for both K-12 grade levels, ensuring that the SIS software is configured and customized to meet the institution’s needs. Additionally, the role involves providing training, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of data management practices to enhance student success and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Perform a variety of specialized duties to assure proper operation of assigned Student Information System (SIS); monitor existing programs to improve reporting, record maintenance and assure compliance with established laws, regulations and company policy.

Provide SIS technical export support to academic advisors and registrars to ensure accountability for students’ academic plans and graduation requirements, and transcripts.

Oversee and Manage 7-12 schedule build for PowerSchool and facilitate management of IC schedule -build.

Facilitate and monitor K-6 schedule build for PowerSchool.

Coordinate and conduct individual and group training sessions to assure employee understanding of student information system software applications; prepare related support materials; determine and respond to training needs; responds to inquiries and provide information concerning SIS data processing and reporting procedures, issues and requirements.

Receive and respond to problem reports and requests for information regarding scheduling and academic planning.

Communicate and coordinate with staff, administrators and various departments to ensure support of SIS configurations for student success, academic plans, and reporting; collaborate and manage projects for customization needs for the SIS programs.

Strong knowledge of SIS platforms, specifically PowerSchool, with the ability to configure and customize software as needed.

Skilled in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of student data, including academic plans, transcripts, and scheduling.

Ability to identify issues, troubleshoot effectively, and implement solutions to improve system processes and user experience.

Excellent communication skills for training staff and providing technical support to academic advisors, registrars, and administrators.

Ability to work effectively with various departments, school leaders, and technical teams to ensure alignment on academic and student data management goals.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing student data, records, and reporting.

Experience managing projects related to SIS customizations, improvements, and troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Information Technology, Data Management, or related field.

Valid AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance card
-
3+ years of experience in managing or supporting student information systems (SIS), with a focus on scheduling, academic planning, and data management.

Experience with PowerSchool or other SIS platforms for K-12 education.
