Student Life and Community Engagement Manager

The American University in the Emirates is searching for a Student Life and Community Engagement Manager who will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the delivery of services related to campus life, student activities, grievances, scholarships, and financial aid.

Qualifications & Experience

• Master's Degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or related field from an accredited university
• Minimum 5 years of related experience in an educational institution or similar environment
• Preferably bilingual (fluent in English and Arabic)

Skills / Training / Knowledge

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong leadership skills
• High confidentiality and ethical standards
• Knowledge of university programs and operations, including administrative and academic affairs (preferred)
• Professionalism in interactions with students, faculty, and staff
• Adherence to institutional codes of conduct and acting as a role model

Job Responsibilities

1. Manage office goals and operational planning to align with university objectives
2. Manage the office budget
3. Develop and lead a responsive student support team
4. Oversee financial support services, including aid, scholarships, and grants
5. Implement student engagement initiatives such as orientation, social events, clubs, and trips
6. Develop student recognition programs
7. Oversee the Athletics Office
8. Develop community engagement opportunities
9. Build relationships with student sponsors and respond to their needs
10. Manage the student grievance process in accordance with university policies
11. Support student organizations and provide guidance as needed
12. Secure funding to support university missions and initiatives
13. Engage with current and prospective donors
14. Perform additional duties as assigned
