Job Summary
Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Student Success, the Student Success Coordinator is responsible for implementing student initiatives that support student retention and success. The Student Success Coordinator plays a pivotal role ensuring students and their families have a smooth and successful transition experience into and through the University.

Minimum Qualifications
Basic knowledge of student development and resources to promote student success. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs, and information systems such as Banner or a comparable program used to edit communication documents, enter and manipulate data, and produce or generate reports. Demonstrated skill in advising and counseling. Strong interpersonal skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to interpret and explain complex rules and regulations and/or respond to routine inquiries regarding enrollment services functions such as admissions, registration or financial aid. Demonstrated ability to build relationships. Demonstrated ability in working with diverse student populations. Ability to relate effectively with students, institutional personnel, and the public. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Demonstrated ability to conduct workshops, seminars, and training.

Master’s Degree in higher education, counseling, psychology, education, social work or relevant field. Bachelor’s degree with experience equivalent to a Master’s degree may be substituted.

Basic experience in counseling, advising or related field. Basic experience in a higher education setting, working with student focused initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications
Some preferred experience using Banner SIS or a comparable program and CRM.
