Studio Assistant

We are seeking a Studio Assistant to join our portrait studio! In this role, you will support the lead photographer and play a crucial part in ensuring our clients have an enjoyable and memorable photoshoot experience. Your keen eye for detail and social media savvy will help elevate our brand and help our clients feel beautiful and seen. This is a hybrid personal assistant, content creator, and photoshoot assistant role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Social Media Management: Conceptualize, curate and post engaging content on our social media platforms, including behind-the-scenes photos and client testimonials, to showcase our work and connect with our audience.
• Behind-the-Scenes Content Creation: Capture candid moments and behind-the-scenes shots during photoshoots using a smartphone to highlight the experience.
• General Assistance: Support the photographer with equipment setup, organization of props, holding reflectors, running errands, hosting events, and any other tasks as needed.
• Client Hospitality: Greet and interact with clients warmly, helping them with transport of their belongings to and from their vehicle, and provide emotional support throughout the photoshoot process.
• Cleaning: Maintain a clean working environment by dusting surfaces, vacuuming, washing floors and windows, etc.
• Client Styling Support: Assist clients with dressing, steaming their garments, helping them select jewelry, and ensuring they feel comfortable and look their best.

Desired Skills, Qualifications, & Software Experience:

• Minimum high school diploma required
• Experience with graphic design & typesetting
• Canva experience
• Social media scheduling through platforms like Later
• Video editing, Adobe Premiere Pro experience a plus
• Writing and editing marketing copy
• Strong interest in creating social media content and visual storytelling.
• Proficient in using smartphones for photography and video editing software.
• Expert level knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) and best practices for engagement.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, welcoming demeanor.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in a customer service, personal assistant, or social media role is a plus.
• You are a collaborative, detail-oriented team player who is highly organized, efficient, and creative.
• Comfortable working on Mac platforms.

Hours & Pay

• This is an in-person role at our Westminster portrait studio.
• Hours are part-time: 12-18 hours per week as needed (primarily Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and some Thursdays 8:00am-2:00pm). Scheduled days and times are not negotiable.
• $22/hr. This role does not include additional benefits.

We are a service-forward, high-end glamour business portrait photography studio catering to image-conscious women. We are located in Westminster, CO off US-36 & Federal Blvd. We are a female-only creative team that values elegance and professionalism.
