Sub Editor/Reporter

We are seeking a meticulous and creative Sub-Editor/Reporter to join our editorial team for the English Magazine "Business News For Profit" (www.businessnewsforprofit.com) . The ideal candidate will have a strong command of English, an eye for detail, and a passion for producing high-quality, error-free content. You will be responsible for editing, proofreading, fact-checking, and ensuring consistency in tone, style, and accuracy across all articles before publication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit and proofread articles for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and factual accuracy.
• Ensure that all content adheres to the publication’s style guide, tone, and editorial standards.
• Rewrite or restructure copy when necessary to improve clarity, flow, and engagement.
• Work closely with writers and reporters to refine stories and headlines.
• Check facts, statistics, and sources to maintain content credibility.
• Prepare content for both print and digital formats, ensuring SEO-friendly practices for web articles.
• Coordinate with designers for layout and headline placement in print editions.
• Ensure deadlines are met and content schedules are maintained.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Any Graduate
• Preference will be given to Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in editing, publishing, or journalism (fresh graduates with strong skills may also apply).
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with agency feeds like IANS style guides preferred.
• Basic understanding of SEO and digital publishing tools (WordPress, CMS, etc.).
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple assignments.

Technical Skills:

• Good grip over CMS like wordpress
• Designing tools like Canva, Coreldraw, Photoshop etc.

• Creative flair for crafting engaging headlines and improving readability.
• Collaborative attitude and ability to work well with writers and editors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
