Subcontracts Manager

Reviewing extension of impact on complex change requests and claims and where necessary prepare forensic planning and delay/ disruption analysis to determine the cause and effect of specific. Work with project teams, which include planners, contracts and technical team, to pull tighter the correct information in preparation of claims/ counter claims. Prepare, negotiate and review various company contracts, including purchases, sales and business partnerships. Demonstrate a strong attention to detail along with the ability to discover potential risks for our company. You should also analyze contracts with an eye toward reducing costs and increasing profits, while ensuring compliance with the law. Managing contracts and is familiar with legal requirements and terms of use. you should ensure all our contracts conform to legislative requirements and meet company goals.

Contract Administration

  • Prepare contract agreements
  • Manage commercial onboarding.
  • Track subcontract agreements, and ensure no works are done on site without contract signing. (before 1st monthly ipc the contract should be fully signed)
  • Ensure compliance
  • Draft and review letters, notices, and contractual correspondences.

Invoice and IPC management

  • Coordinate with accounts/finance for payment certifications and recoveries.
  • Track advance payments, deductions, retentions etc.
  • Back charge to subcons to be always signed by PM & QS (food/accom/fuel/materials/machinery/services): Dinesh will advice about back charge as per the contract , PM has to record the back charge & QS has to deduct the Back charge in Invoice.
  • Maintain Invoice Tracker
  • Ensure proper documentation: Site progress updates.
  • Follow up on invoice issuance and payment release.

Sub contractor Variations Claims & EOT Management

  • Followup and intimate Subcon whenever their end date is expired- no payment process (ipc can be booked) until revised plan with EoT is done in writing
  • Review variation/claims submissions, pricing, and justifications.
  • Support dispute resolution processes with documentation.

Procurement

  • Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors on payment & other terms.
  • Track subcontractor performance, compliance, and deliverables.
  • Monthly Reporting Duties
  • Prepare monthly sub-contractor invoices reports for management.
  • Maintain registers/logs:
  • Sub-contractor Payment log
  • Maintain project Sub-contract files
  • Risk & Compliance Work
  • Identify risks related to delays, cost overruns, and contractual exposures.

Education: Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering; additional qualifications in law

Experience: Minimum 10-15 Years, (5 years minimum in Oman) proven work experience as Contracts Manager or relevant role.
