Position Overview
The Subject Teacher (Maths, Computer, Physics) is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, ensuring student understanding, and supporting overall academic progress. The teacher will plan lessons, assess student performance, maintain discipline, and contribute to the school’s academic environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesA. Teaching & Instruction
- Deliver subject-specific lessons (Maths/Computer/Physics) aligned with the school curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and digital resources.
- Use effective teaching strategies to engage diverse learners.
- Conduct classwork, homework, quizzes, and assessments regularly.
- Maintain updated knowledge of subject content and teaching methodologies.
- Ensure completion of syllabus within the academic timeline.
B. Student Assessment & Progress Monitoring
- Evaluate student performance through tests, assignments, and exams.
- Maintain accurate student records and gradebooks.
- Identify students’ learning gaps and provide necessary support or remediation.
- Share timely feedback with students and parents.
C. Classroom Management
- Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment.
- Ensure classroom rules and school policies are followed.
- Promote respect, collaboration, and motivation among students.
D. Curriculum & Academic Contribution
- Contribute to curriculum planning and academic development.
- Prepare exam papers, model answers, and marking schemes.
- Participate in academic meetings, subject councils, and professional development workshops.
E. Parent Communication
- Attend parent-teacher meetings (PTMs) and share student progress updates.
- Communicate academic concerns, behavioral issues, and achievements to parents professionally.
F. Administrative Duties
- Maintain attendance records and class reports.
- Support school events, competitions, and extracurricular activities.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Section Head or Principal.
Required QualificationsFor Mathematics Teacher
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
For Computer Science Teacher
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, IT, or Software Engineering.
- Knowledge of MS Office, programming basics, and computer lab management.
For Physics Teacher
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Physics or related discipline.
- Understanding of scientific experiments and lab safety.
