Subrogation Associate Attorney: California

Position Summary:
This California Associate Attorney will work with the legal support team on various company matters concerning litigation and insurance.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Insurance / Litigation (75%)

· Work together with the Legal Staff on the management of civil litigation

· Management and processing of property, general liability and subrogation insurance claims

· Assist property management team in gathering necessary data and facts to support claims

· Review and analyze premises liability incidents and potential insurance claims

· Work with insurance adjusters and claims administrators

· Assist in the oversight of outside counsel, review

· Prepare responses to discovery and other pleadings

Contracts / Leases (15%)

· Review and analyze Company contracts with third party service providers

· Work with outside counsel to identify changes in state and local laws and policies; revise lease provisions as necessary to incorporate changes into contracts and leases as necessary

. Post Judgment Recovery (10%)

Qualifications

· Law degree from accredited law school

· Current state bar admission: California license

· 3 – 5 years of experience in insurance related litigation

· Willingness to learn new areas of law and work alongside other lawyers, paralegals, and legal support team

· Ability to effectively prioritize work and business needs

· Detail-oriented, flexible, and collaborative team player

Pay: Yearly Salary $120,000 (Negotiable)
