We are seeking a Substance Use Disorder Counselor to provide high-quality counseling, education, and case management services for individuals working toward recovery. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.

Position Details
  • Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, plus on-call one week per month and one Saturday per month

  • Location: Cuthbert, GA 39840

  • Reports To: Program Director

What You’ll Do

As a Substance Use Disorder Counselor, you will play a critical role in the recovery process by:

  • Conducting screenings, intakes, and orientations

  • Providing and documenting individual and group education sessions

  • Delivering case management and clinical documentation in a timely and accurate manner

  • Participating in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings

  • Supporting individuals using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and 12-Step facilitation

  • Connecting clients with community resources and ongoing supports

  • Serving as a positive role model for recovery and healthy living

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC I or II)
    OR a comparable combination of education, certification, training, and experience

  • Three (3) years of experience working with individuals with substance use disorders

  • Specialized training in addiction services

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Working knowledge of counseling theories, case management, and recovery-oriented practices

  • Proficiency with basic computer software and online applications

  • Valid Georgia driver’s license and ability to meet vehicle insurance requirements

Additional Requirements:

  • If in recovery, a minimum of two (2) years of continuous sobriety is required
