Substance Use Disorder Counselor

We are seeking a passionate and experienced individual who is eager to make a difference in the lives of adult males struggling with substance use disorders. Our team is dedicated to fostering a supportive environment that encourages long-term recovery and personal growth.

Essential Duties

Substance Use Disorder Counselor / SUD and Mental Health Provider. This role involves providing screenings, assessments, and individual and group counseling services to clients with substance use disorders. (A candidate with higher qualifications would also address clients’ mental health needs.) The counselor will collaborate with the treatment team, community stakeholders, and referral sources to coordinate client services. Counselors report to the Executive Director. This is a full-time position.

Qualifications

A suitable candidate must:

· Possess proficient knowledge of ASAM, DSM 5-TR, and ICD 10

· Be capable of diagnosing substance use disorders

· Hold a current license or certification (or be a certified intern) as an alcohol and drug counselor including Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor - Intern (LADC-I), Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), or Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor - Intern (CADC-I).

· Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in providing substance use disorder counseling services
