  • Perform overhaul, cleaning, and necessary adjustments on critical components such as Circuit Breakers (VCBs/SF6), Load Break Switches (LBS), and protective relays.
  • Conduct specialized diagnostic testing, including Insulation Resistance (Megger) tests, Contact Resistance tests, and Primary/Secondary Injection tests on relays.
  • Perform routine maintenance on Ring Main Units (RMUs), including mechanical checks, SF6 gas pressure monitoring, and ensuring the functionality of earthing switches and interlocks.
  • Assist with maintenance of substation equipment, including distribution transformers (oil level, temperature checks), battery banks, and capacitor banks.

Operations & Troubleshooting

  • Respond promptly to electrical faults, troubleshoot system anomalies, and execute corrective actions to restore power supply safely and efficiently.
  • Execute switching and isolation procedures as directed by the control room or supervising engineer, strictly following system safety rules.

  • Technical Knowledge: Demonstrated experience working directly with 11 kV or higher voltage switchgear (HT/MV Panels, RMUs).

Essential Skills & Competencies

  • Expert knowledge of high-voltage electrical safety standards and working clearance limits.
  • Proficiency in using electrical testing tools (Megger, Micro-Ohmmeter, Relay Test Sets, Clamp Meter, Thermal Camera).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude for switchgear maintenance (racking in/out, mechanism alignment).
  • Excellent ability to read and interpret complex electrical blueprints and wiring diagrams.
  • Clear communication and teamwork skills for coordinating maintenance activities with other departments and control center personnel.

Desired (Bonus) Qualifications
