SUBSTITUTE / PART TIME CHILD CARE PROVIDER

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Substitute / Part-Time Child Care Provider to support our early childhood education programs and childcare services. In this role, you will provide safe, nurturing, fun and engaging care for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs. Your enthusiasm and flexibility will ensure that children receive high-quality supervision and developmentally appropriate activities, whether covering for staff absences or assisting during busy hours. Responsibilities

• Supervise children in a safe and caring manner across different settings such as daycare centers, classrooms, or during babysitting assignments
• Implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, social skills, and early learning concepts
• Assist with daily routines including feeding, diapering, nap times, and outdoor play
• Support classroom teachers or caregivers by helping with lesson plans, behavior management, and classroom organization
• Respond promptly to children's needs and ensure their emotional well-being is prioritized at all times
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the childcare environment
• Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress or concerns when necessary

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in a licensed child care center, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom settings is preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
• Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable but is obtainable once on the job
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus
• Ability to manage behavior effectively through positive reinforcement, connection and guidance strategies
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and families
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and coverage needs in a part-time or substitute capacity

Pay: $14.00 per hour
