Saint Gerard Majella Catholic School is seeking a qualified Substitute School Nurse to provide health services and support to students and staff in the absence of the regular school nurse while supporting the mission and values of Catholic education.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first aid and basic medical care to students and staff as needed
- Administer medications according to physician orders and school policies
- Assess and respond to student health concerns and emergencies
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation
- Communicate health‑related concerns to school administration and parents as appropriate
- Follow school and Archdiocesan health policies and procedures
- Promote a safe and healthy school environment
Qualifications:
- Current registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN) license required
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of basic health assessments and emergency procedures
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Professional, flexible, and dependable
- Commitment to supporting the mission of Catholic education
