Substitute Teacher

Position Summary

We are seeking dedicated and flexible Substitute Teachers to support our school community by providing high-quality instruction in the absence of regular classroom teachers. The Substitute Teacher is responsible for maintaining a positive, productive, and safe learning environment while ensuring that students continue to progress academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver instructional plans and activities left by the classroom teacher.
• Maintain classroom management, order, and discipline in accordance with school policies.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Monitor student progress, behavior, and safety throughout the day.
• Support students in completing assignments and clarify instructions as needed.
• Report attendance, incidents, and any concerns to school administration.
• Uphold school values, policies, and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum: 60+ credit hours (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• State teaching certification or substitute teaching permit.
• Prior teaching or classroom experience strongly preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to engage with students of diverse ages, backgrounds, and learning styles.
• Reliability, professionalism, and flexibility.

Working Conditions

• Flexible, on-call schedule.
• Assignments may vary in length from single-day to long-term placements.
• Requires standing, walking, and supervising students throughout the day.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Per diem

Pay: From $150.00 per day
