Substitute Teachers needed to work with in Steelton-Highspire School District for all grade levels. Rate of pay for this position is $150 per day, paid through Substitute Teacher Service.

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Substitute Teacher to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring continuity of education by stepping in for regular teachers when needed. You will play a key role in maintaining a positive learning environment and supporting our mission to provide quality educational experiences.
Responsibilities

• Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher.
• Maintain classroom discipline and manage student behavior effectively.
• Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents as necessary.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Provide feedback on student performance and classroom activities.
• Assist in the development of educational materials as needed.
• Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities.
• Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (preferred).
• Valid teaching certification or substitute teaching permit.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with diverse student populations.
• Knowledge of special education practices is a plus.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments.
• Previous teaching or tutoring experience is beneficial.
