Substitute Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Substitute Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a positive learning environment and ensuring that students continue to engage with the curriculum in the absence of their regular teacher. This role requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and a passion for fostering student growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure continuity of instruction.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a productive learning environment.
• Facilitate student engagement through effective teaching methods and strategies.
• Adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special education requirements.
• Provide support in areas such as literacy education, math, and early childhood education.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Supervise students during various school activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Assist with curriculum development and lesson planning as needed.

Experience

• Previous experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
• Experience in special education or working with students with autism is a plus.
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices is beneficial.
• Background in tutoring or private school experience is advantageous.
• Understanding of Montessori methods or preschool education is desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
