Substitute Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Substitute Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing quality instruction and maintaining a positive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. This role requires adaptability, strong communication skills, and a commitment to fostering children's growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure continuity of instruction.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a respectful learning environment.
• Engage students in meaningful activities that promote learning.
• Support students with diverse learning needs.
• Foster an inclusive and safe atmosphere.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents
• Complete daily cleaning tasks

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Background check clearance by Department of Human Services.
• Knowledge of Montessori methods or preschool education is a plus.
• Experience not required but a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Flexible Schedule. Ability to be on call most days in a work week.

Pay: $9.00 - $11.00 per hour
