Substitute Teacher- Early Childhood

Responsibilities:
- Educate and engage students out in nature
- Follow lesson plans provided by the absent teacher and ensure continuity of instruction
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Manage student behavior and enforce classroom rules
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students, including those with special education requirements
- Foster a love for learning through creative and interactive teaching techniques in nature and in a nature-inspired classroom
- Provide guidance and support to students
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to ensure a cohesive educational experience

Qualifications:
- Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Familiarity with special education strategies and accommodations
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to maintain a positive learning environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills​
- Previous experience in childcare is a plus
- Ability to effectively manage student behavior and implement behavior management strategies

Note: This is a substitute position, which means you may be called upon to fill in for absent teachers on short notice. The schedule may vary depending on the needs of the school.
