SUBSTITUTE TEACHER/FLOAT (CHILDCARE EXP REQ)

**LOOKING FOR A CANDIDATE THAT HAS EXPERIENCE WITH CHILDREN. FULL DAY 8:30-4:30 AVAILABILITY REQUIRED, 2-5 DAYS PER WEEK **

Seeking:

Summer substitute teacher/float who can work with both toddlers and preschoolers. This person must be available full days 8:30-4:30. We can offer a 40 hour per week, five day a week position or potentially a more flexible 2-3 day a week position if we can find two people to job share. This position goes through August but could potentially continue into the upcoming school year. We are looking for someone to begin training ASAP.

Bloom is a nature inspired program, heavily influenced by the LifeWays approach to childcare. We create a homelike setting in which children can come into their own. We believe social & emotional development and well being is the sturdy branch upon which all learning can truly blossom.

We incorporate baking, gardening, and meaningful work and play into each day. We bring the natural rhythm of the seasons into our songs and stories, and in our baking and cooking projects. Domestic chores and self care tasks are woven into each day together. Children learn to be self sufficient while simultaneously learning to be helpful and generous members of a cohesive group. In the summer we spend most of our time outdoors.

We would prefer a candidate who has experience in a group childcare setting, however other experience with children will be considered. Must love the outdoors (year round!). A love of gardening, baking, and handwork (knitting, sewing, crocheting) would make us very happy! Being comfortable with the LifeWays approach is important.
