Summer Camp June 8- July 17, 2026

Days: M-TH. hours: minimum 2hrs daily

Times depends on the class.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to different age groups and skill levels in art, dance, choir, or piano.
• Foster a positive classroom environment by managing behavior and encouraging creativity among students.
• Deliver clear instruction on techniques such as painting, sculpting, ballet, jazz dance, vocal training, or piano playing.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with special needs or varying learning styles.
• Maintain organized classroom spaces and ensure safety protocols are followed during all activities.
• Provide constructive feedback to students to support their artistic development and boost confidence.
• Collaborate with fellow instructors to coordinate performances, exhibitions, or showcases that highlight student achievements.
• Prepare students to perform at the end of the summer camp

Skills

• Strong background in curriculum development specific to art forms like visual arts, dance styles including ballet and contemporary dance, choir singing techniques, or piano instruction.
• Proven experience in teaching or tutoring children and adolescents in creative disciplines.
• Excellent classroom management skills to foster respectful and productive learning environments.
• Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and developmental stages..
• Familiarity with behavior management strategies and childhood development theories.
• Skills in theater production or musical performance are advantageous for coordinating student showcases.
• Competence in photography or multimedia arts can enhance project diversity within the curriculum.
• Ability to plan lessons that incorporate elements of adult education when working with older students or community groups. Pay: $25.00 - $38.00 per hour
