Duties

• Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate literacy, math, and social-emotional learning activities.
• Support classroom management by maintaining a positive environment, encouraging good behavior, and applying effective behavior management techniques.
• Engage children through interactive activities that foster development in communication skills, early literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
• Provide attentive childcare by supervising children during activities, free play, meals, and rest times to ensure safety and well-being.
• Collaborate with teachers to adapt instructional strategies for children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or autism.
• Help with classroom organization tasks such as proofreading educational materials, setting up learning stations, and maintaining cleanliness.
• Mentor and support children individually or in small groups to boost confidence and academic skills through tutoring or targeted assistance.

Experience

• Previous experience working with young children in classroom settings or childcare environments is preferred.
