Summer Camp Care Specialist

About Camp SAY

Camp SAY is an ACA-Accredited, 2-week, sleep-away summer camp for young people who stutter, along with their family members and friends who don’t, ages 8-18. Camp SAY combines a high-quality, traditional camp experience with specialized programs and activities that help kids and teens who stutter develop confidence and independence, improve communication skills, and form important lifelong friendships.

Campers are welcomed by a super-friendly staff, many of whom also stutter, and immediately see that Camp SAY is a very special place of acceptance, support, and encouragement. Camp SAY is a life-changing summer camp where young people who stutter are free to have fun and stutter as openly as they choose – and everyone ALWAYS gets as much time as they need to speak!

Camp SAY is located in San Antonio, TX. Campers and staff come from all over the country and we offer travel reimbursement programs for staff who are traveling to spend the summer with us.

Staff Dates for 2026 are Sunday, July 12th – Saturday, August 1st (including training).

All Staff members at Camp SAY are called to support, encourage, and engage campers socially, emotionally, and physically. This can range from helping with conflict resolution to modeling what it means to be a great listener. We encourage all staff members to bring their enthusiasm, creativity, flexibility, and generosity.
