Summer Camp Coordinator

Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselor/leader to join our team for an enriching summer experience. As a Camp Counselor/leader, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and educational environment for children. You will be responsible for leading activities, ensuring the well-being of campers, and fostering a positive camp culture. Ideal candidates will have experience working with children and possess strong skills in behavior management and classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily camp activities, ensuring all campers are engaged and safe.
• Educate campers through structured programs that promote learning and personal growth.
• Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a positive camp environment.
• Provide support to campers with special needs or those requiring additional assistance.
• Foster teamwork and cooperation among campers through group activities.
• Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members to address concerns or feedback.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of camp facilities and equipment.
• Participate in training sessions and staff meetings to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• Experience working with children in settings such as childcare, tutoring.
• Come up with New methods of fun activity with kids.
• Strong skills in behavior management and classroom management techniques.
• Ability to create engaging educational activities that cater to diverse learning styles.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff.
• A passion for working outdoors and facilitating fun experiences for campers.
• Must be able to work flexible hours during the camp season.
• Previous experience as a camp counselor or similar role is a plus.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
